Once upon a time, there was a great activity tracker app. It was called Runkeeper, and people could track their running activity with that app. It sounds simple now, but this was mid 2010’s, and people were only just starting to run with their smartphones in hand.
Runkeeper would have challenges on their app, and if you completed a challenge, you’d be eligible to purchase piece of merchandise. T-shirts were common, and these were really well made tri-blend tshirts. I participated in quite a few, as I attempted a marathon length when I was 25.
Sweat Smile Repeat was one of Runkeeper’s slogans, and I felt it matched my vibe totally. I am always sweating for one, and I am also always smiling for another.
I had to finally retire this tshirt, because I’ve worn it for so long that the smell of sweat has just never really left the tshirt. The fabric was originally a dark heather grey, and now, it’s a good mid tone grey instead. It’s seen better days for sure.
Currently, Runkeeper is bought over by Asics. I have all my running data there, so I don’t feel like closing my account. But I am on Strava most of the time now. Oh well.
And there are no more challenges. Or merchanise. Their running bottle was awesome too. Loved it.
