Fecal Face was an art site that featured a ton of contemporary artists. I remember reading a bunch about Jim Houser and a few other artists then. I visited this site, along with Its Nice That and Brand New, as supplementary to my design school education.
This t-shirt was a 10 year anniversary tshirt, and I wore this t-shirt a lot. A heart of art around a computer was truly a good representation of whatever Fecal Face stood for then. They went on to have a physical gallery space in the San Fransisco area, something I would never get to see. But that was truly part of the appeal of why I would even get a t-shirt to support them in the first place.
Maybe part of the drive I have for Through The Roof is for spaces like this, that inspired me. Hopefully I would continue to inspire other people too. It does remind me that I should make more articles more often on the through the roof page.
